 YOUR DREAM BOARD

Begin to gather the pictures for your dream board on or after the vernal equinox...first day of spring. In 2012 that is March 20th, 1:14 am ET/March 19th, 10:14 pm PT.

The pictures are visual representations of what you want in your life - relationships, material goods, spiritual experiences. Put the pictures in an envelope. Look for words, sayings, short poems that reflect your wants and desires. Add a picture of yourself.
At the first New Moon of this astrological year, create your dream board. In addition to your regular Wish List, begin organizing your dream board. The New Moon is your Monthly New Beginning. This year, add your Yearly New Beginning. And you have extra time to work on getting it together. You can use the entire Aries New Moon cycle to complete your dream board - March 22 - April 20. The sooner you complete it, however, the sooner you have the focus you need.

HOW

First Step:
Use a large board -poster board is perfect. The side of a cardboard box is good too. 17"x22" is large, 14"x11" is medium (my preference). But the size is up to you. Elmer's glue, rubber cement or two-sided tape.
Construction or wrapping paper in a mellow color if you use a cardboard box or want a specific colored background.

Second Step:
Gather lots of different types of magazines. You are going to look for pictures that either show how you want to feel, where you want to go or want you want to acquire.
Go crazy here, really go out on a limb. If you want to live on the ocean in a beautiful house, find a picture of a seaside house. Look for pictures that really light you up inside when you look at them. (Inner joy and happiness is a key component for EVERY picture on your board.)
If you want to lose weight find a picture of the physique you want to have.
If you want to travel cut out pictures of the places you want to go. Find pictures of someone doing the things you want to do - sailing, skiing, climbing a mountain, hiking, attending concerts, visiting museums or the zoo, etc.
Cut out words or sentences as well. Anything you cut out is great as long as it that inspires and motivates you. If you want to get married, cut out a bride and groom or a wedding picture. Remember to add a picture of the "happy couple" when they're living their everyday life too.
If you want to write a book, look for pictures of a computer with someone typing. Or write your own book review (100 words or less), shrink it to "newspaper column size" and add it.
Another way to gather items for your dream board is to capture pictures on your computer in a folder you call "Dream Board 2012." You can print these for your private dream board.

Third Step:
Get a picture of yourself you really like, where you are happy and feel good. You are going to paste this in the middle of the board. If you don't have one that makes you feel joyful, draw a picture of a happy person (stick figures are ok) and label it "ME!!"

Fourth Step:
Before you begin pasting your pictures and words take a felt pen or glitter and outline the poster board in yellow. This means you are surrounding your Dream Board with the light it needs to manifest your vision.

Fifth Step: Along the bottom write - "This or something better now manifests for me in divine and appropriate timing."

Sixth Step:
You are now ready to start to create your dream board by pasting your vision (pictures) on the board.
Think about the areas of you life that you want to change, improve and/or enhance and put those areas into categories.
Try to think of a one- or two-word description of what you want. and make a label with each descriptor.
Sort your pictures into the descriptor piles.
Select the best pictures for each category and arrange them in groups around the middle.
The sky is the limit. Anything that inspires you is good for your dream board.
Let the dream board sit for at least 24 hours before you make your final decisions.
Finally, glue or tape down your pictures, sayings, etc. in their groups.

Have fun!!! This is really important. You are now taking an important step towards seeing and feeling the life you want.
Really go for it here..this is your chance to have it all!!! Now that you have completed the board there are a few action steps for you to take.

ACTION STEPS FOR CREATIVE VISUALIZATION

Put your board somewhere you'll probably see it everyday. Look at it whenever it comes to mind but don't obsess on it. Give the energy time to manifest. And, keep it private.

Really see the emotions in the pictures you have chosen. Look at the colors that are on your board, the different places or events that make you smile. Now, expect these wonderful things or something better to happen in the appropriate time.

There was a time when I thought my dreams would manifest instantly. When they didn't (that often happens), I became despondent and stopped paying attention. That's when things began to happen. A dream board is a tool of visualization, not obsession. You have to create and let go, allowing the universal energy to render a return on your spiritual investment.

During the year, you may find your dream board contains areas you realize are not important. We do change as we grow. You can cover over those areas with new dreams or remove them. As the years progress you'll find that your NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS (dream board) are more succinct and actually change in character. Some areas will take longer and other will come to fruition quickly.
